What happened?
NVIDIA announced expanded work with the Korean government, companies, and universities on AI infrastructure, physical AI, agent research, and a roughly 100,000-GPU plan at NAVER’s Sejong data center.
The plans could materially expand Korea’s AI supply chain, but investment amounts, GPU counts, and completion schedules may change through contracting and construction. These are announced plans, not completed capacity.
Why does it matter?
Large-scale investment connecting Korea’s semiconductor, data-center, model, and robotics sectors could affect domestic access to compute and industrial AI adoption.
